Hi! 👋 I’m Schuyler Clark
But most everybody calls me Sky! I’m a woodworker and business owner and have lived in Doraville with my wife Tiffany since 2016. In my spare time you’ll find me working on our house, at the climbing wall at Central Rock Gym or enjoying tacos at El Rey Del Taco! From day one, I’ve admired how Doraville feels like a close-knit small town, but I’ve also seen the big city problems we face.
I’m running for City Council because serving my community is important to me and I want to help guide our growth thoughtfully while preserving the character and diversity that make our city such a unique place to call home.
The best candidate isn’t always the best politician, and I hope you’ll agree. The job of representing all of us on council shouldn’t just be telling you what I believe - it should be me listening to what you believe.
Working in the building trades has taught me there’s no substitute for hard work, that no one does it alone, and to never promise something you can’t deliver. These experiences have given me the skills to dig into the issues, find common ground and get things done.
From 2022 to 2026 I served on Doraville’s Downtown Development Authority, giving me the opportunity to work with local leaders, business owners, and residents to support the growth and progress of our community. The experience reinforced what I’ve always believed: the best ideas come from listening first, working together, and finding common ground.
For me, serving on City Council isn’t about the politics. It’s about being a good neighbor, listening to the people who live and work here, and helping to build a future that we can all be proud of.
Doraville is entering an exciting chapter, our new City Center is taking shape, and the decisions we make today will define our city for years to come.
My Values
For the people, by the people
The role of city council should be to connect residents to city government. I want to hear your thoughts about our city because my job is to represent you and to keep government accountable to your needs, not the other way around. That’s why you can reach me directly at 404-490-1501 or skyfordoraville@gmail.com
Growing with intention
It’s going to happen. Let’s do it right. And let’s guide that growth so that it serves the needs of our residents, not just developers. I love living in Doraville because of our city's unique character. Let’s keep that going for the next generation too.
Getting from A to B
Doraville was built with cars in mind, but I think we should have better options for walking and biking too! Finding ways for us to connect how we want to connect is a win-win for all of us. Whether that’s as simple as fixing sidewalks or as complex as projects like the Peachtree Creek Greenway, these priorities help bring our residents together.
Surveillance vs. Safety
Lately there’s been a lot of civic discussion on the issues of Flock cameras, data centers and AI. That debate and discussion is evidence of our democracy at work, and together I believe we’ll find the right balance between privacy and safety. These questions extend far beyond our city and will ultimately need to be addressed at the state and federal level, but there is a role for local government to ensure that any use of these technologies aligns with the values and priorities of our community. I will always approach these issues asking first, “How does this serve the needs of Doraville residents?”
Ready to work
From 2022 to 2026 I served on the Downtown Development Authority, where we worked with the developments at Assembly, Lumen and others. During my time there we started an application process in order to maximize benefits to Doraville residents and align development with the goals of the Planning Commission and City Council. I have the experience to be an effective voice on council that will put residents first.
